Need a Hand? I'm Here to Help

It's no secret that the special education process can be frustrating and overwhelming. Too often it feels like the deck is stacked against parents. To help get your child an appropriate education, you'll need an expert by your side and ON your side.

Whether it's your first or hundredth IEP meeting, Advocacy Allies can help.

Special Education Advocate

Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and how I can help your family.

First, it’s very likely I’ve been where you are right now. As a parent, I’ve navigated the system in both public and private school settings. I’ve gone through mediation, outplacement and I’ve drafted countless Individualized Education Plans – so no matter where you are in the process, I can jump in to help.

Also, I’ve gone through the formal training to become an advocate.  I’ve clocked hundreds of hours learning about the nuances of IDEA, ADA, FBA, BIPs – I’ve got the whole alphabet soup down and I can translate it for you.

Finally, I’m in a unique position in Connecticut. I’m on the board of an organization called SEEK- Special Education Equity for Kids.  We advocate and testify on behalf of  special ed students in CT.  So when state laws change, I know right away how it impacts your child’s IEP.

You are taking an important step toward improving your child’s future. I’d be honored to guide you through it.

My initial 15 minute consultation is free of charge. Please feel free to send an email, or make an appointment to talk.
